Granbury Animal Clinic's in-house laboratory is fully equipped with the most advanced equipment which allows us to run a multitude of routine and diagnostic testing within just a few minutes.
These tests include but are not limited to the following:
Blood Parasite Screen: Tests for Heartworms, Ehrlichia, Lymes Disease and others. We recommend this test on an annual basis.
Fecal Flotation: Microscopic examination of an animal's feces reveals a number of intestinal parasites including Hookworms, Roundworms, Coccidia, Whipworms and more. We recommend this test on an annual basis.
Complete Blood Cell Count (CBC): Determines the total count of all blood types of blood cells to help detect infection, anemia and dehydration. While we recommend this test prior to any surgical procedure, it is also used as a diagnostic measure in many cases.
Organ Function Panel: Tests vital organs such as liver and kidneys to ensure they are properly functioning. We recommend this test prior to any surgical procedure on animals 7 years of age or older. It is also advised to run this test periodically on geriatric animals as a measure of overall health and well-being.
ECG (Electrocardiogram): Checks for abnormalities in the electrical activities of the heart.
We are also able to perform many other tests in-house including T4 (Thyroid test), Blood Glucose, Parvo tests, Urinalysis and more. Please call our office for further information on these tests and further information on the other services we offer.
